Warrnambool plays host to another 10 races on Thursday, with the Grand Annual Steeplechase (5500m) and the $250,000 Cup highlighting proceedings. 

With minimal rain forecast on Wednesday and Thursday, the track could get back into the soft range.

Novice hurdle to get things underway, with Valac likely to lead from Kapuziner and Mutanaaseq out wide. Buffalo Bill won’t be far away.

Saunter Boy (14) is an unlikely acceptor here, which will leave Valac (4) at incredibly short odds. HIs own jockey, Tom Ryan, has said that the grey wants a Soft 6 or better, so you’d be a brave punter to be backing him on a really wet track. This looks a no-bet race unless Valac (4) is a backable price…
