Tattoo artist sacked after upskirting young female customer in Newtown

A Sydney tattoo artist has been stood down from his job almost a year after pleading guilty to upskirting a customer at the parlour.

Simon Peberdy, who also goes by the name Simon Strelein, took the picture of a woman at the King St Tattoo Parlour in Newtown in 2019.

Following the incident, the woman reported the matter to police and Peberdy was charged with intentionally recording an intimate image without consent.

He was convicted of the crime and in June 2020, he was sentenced to a one-year…
