New NSW COVID-19 hotspots, including Bondi Junction, after Sydney man tests positive to coronavirus

A number of Sydney venues have been put on alert after a new locally transmitted case of COVID was detected.

The man, aged in his 50s, resides in Sydney’s eastern suburbs and tested positive on Wednesday.

Urgent investigations are underway to determine how the man contracted the virus.

His close contacts are being urgently contacted.

It’s believed he has been infectious since Friday April 30 and was tested for COVID on Tuesday.
