Melbourne suburbs including Glen Waverley and Springvale hit with COVID wastewater fragment warning – 7NEWS.com.au
If you live in these areas you must remain vigilant and monitor for signs of the virus.
Residents of 10 suburbs in Melbournes southeast are being urged to be on high alert for signs of COVID-19 after fragments of the virus were detected in wastewater.
On Thursday, the health department confirmed the fragments were recently detected in wastewater samples taken from a sewage catchment.
Anyone with even mild COVID-19 symptoms is urged to get tested.
This especially includes people who live in or have visited the suburbs from April 4 to 6.
The areas are:
